PD Credit: Each participant will receive 6 hours of PD credit regardless of which region they are from. It will all be recorded in ASISTS.
Lunch will be hosted by NYACCE from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at no cost to registered participants.

Are Your Students Ready for the GED?

Trainer: Brendan Steed, Central Southern Tier RAEN Teacher Leader

Our trainer, Brendan Steed, has years of experience assisting students in preparing for success on the GED subtests. Brendan is also a Master Teacher for the Central Southern Tier RAEN having attended several of the AEPP/CUNY Institutes. This workshop is an opportunity for him to share his expertise and the strategies he has used that afforded his students success on the GED subtests. The following is a brief list of the topic areas he plans to cover in his full day workshop:

• A tour of the GED website and all the resources found there and how best to use them in preparing students for the test.
• Test taking strategies to help your students prepare for the GED test questions and how to manage their time on each of the subtests.
• Math GED preparation utilizing portions of the AEPP/CUNY training, along with other materials that have been proven to be very helpful to our students.
