The GED testing service has highlighted ratios, percents, functions, calculators, and slopes as High Impact Indicators, foundational skills that serve as building blocks for other math topics that appear on the GED exam. In this workshop, participants will delve into instructional strategies that harness the power of visual mathematics to build conceptual understanding of these critical concepts. The workshop will include interactive activities, collaborative learning, and technology integration. Participants will investigate problem-solving through visual reasoning and acquire practical strategies for integrating visual mathematics into instruction.
This 4 hour training counts toward the 14 hours of professional development requirement for all NYSED funded program staff.
