Presenter: Lori Pallone, NYSED Certified Trainer
Morning Refreshments and Working Lunch Provided
This NEWLY UPDATED case management training has been designed by NYSED’s Office of ACCES-Adult Education Program and Policy (AEPP) for all case managers in adult education programs funded under Employment Preparation Education (EPE) State aid, Welfare Education Program (WEP), WIOA Title II (Program Areas 1 through 4), or Adult Literacy Education (ALE).
AEPP has determined this is a required training for all case managers providing services in FY2023/2024, this applies to both veteran and new case managers or any staff that is working in the capacity as a case manager.
Case managers will learn the ACCES-AEPP priorities and be able to share them with their students. Topic areas include Intake policy and procedure, barriers to employment, pathways to a NYS High School Equivalency Diploma, and referral expectations. It is expected that case managers will also become very familiar with appropriate community resources and support students by referring students for further support.
This training is 3 hours in length and will count toward the required 14 hours of professional development under ACCES-AEPP contracts/grants.
