| The Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) is the required assessment tool for Adult Basic Education programs funded by the New York State Education Department. This assessment is used to place students in adult basic education (ABE) classes and to measure educational gain. Highlights include a test and scoring overview, effective test administration, using TABE scores for placement, and a discussion of the relationship among TABE test scores, class placement, outcome reporting and the standard error of measure. This is the NYSED approved training referenced in the EPE and NRS Manuals. This training must be completed every three years. |
