The New York State Report Cards provide enrollment, demographic, attendance, suspension, dropout, teacher, assessment, accountability, graduation rate, post-graduate plan, career and technical education, and fiscal data for public and charter schools, districts, and the State. In this era of increased responsibility and accountability for adult education providers, the New York State NRS Report Card has become an important tool in measuring adult education programs. All programs should have a working knowledge of the report card calculations. Our NRS Liaison for NYS, Rosemary Matt, will take you through a sample report card while providing insight into calculations and NRS data priorities. This training will cover topics, including: A description of the four component measures of the Report Card; Explanation of how the Report Cards assess compliance with NYS performance benchmarks; Explanation of how quartile ranks are created by comparing performance of programs statewide; Assigning Proficiency Rating; Using Weighted Gain to Evaluate Performance; and a Tour of the Report Card. In the afternoon, Rosemary will review individual progam's report cards. PLEASE INDICATE ON REGISTRATION COMMENT LINE IF YOU WILL BE STAYING FOR THE AFTERNOON SESSION. |
